It is often said, “Blessed are those who are curious, for they shall have adventures.”
As entrepreneur, I am always curious to discover new pathways for my baby, Royal Tea Party Events Inc. and am consequently led to exciting adventures. My most recent adventure was a photoshoot collaboration with international designer Maret Kendra , creative photographer Carolina Kaneda and Maria Rubio. Our fun fashion Friday shoot took place at the Distillery District in Toronto, which comprises the largest collection of Victorian era industrial architecture in North America. The cafes, restaurants, shops, people and the hustle-bustle of the neighbourhood makes it so beautiful! It wast the perfect location to shoot.
Our model, the beautiful Maria Rubio, was a vision in a floral skirt and beautiful pastel floral headpiece. She looked like a Parisienne beauty sipping some heavenly cream tea by Sloane Fine Tea Merchant, and enjoying a slice of cake and macarons by Le Dolci Bake Shop and Culinary Classroom .
We also took some fabulous shots at the retail store City of Angel, and their staff was very helpful and delightful to work with! City of Angels is a vibe lifestyle boutique in the Distillery District, with the ease of Venice, sexiness of the hills and glamour of Hollywood. They carry some fabulous home decor items, clothes and accessories - a great place to shop!
Maria posed for some great shots sipping tea on a sofa and laying on a bed of carpets at the City of Angels store. Stay tuned for the photographs, they really are fascinating!
Our Royal Albert China was used as accessories for the shoot and I couldn't be happier! The experience was so much fun - finding the best locations for the shoot, working on the lighting and technical details, providing the best accessories and collaborating with like minded creative entrepreneurs - I am delighted to see Royal Tea Party Events spread its wings and continue to grow and soar.
I am looking forward to sharing more updates with you, we have a lot of fun events planned for the fall and winter. For now, I am planning to move on to the next adventure, but first, tea :)
